The Perfect Guide for Getting Free Internet (Mac Spoofing)
Did you know there’s a sneaky use of Mac Spoofing?
If you didn’t know, no problem. I’m going to tell you how to use Mac Spoofing to hack your ISP for free internet access and to bypass your ISP login page.
In 2014, I have used this trick to use unlimited data without even paying a dime. For instance, it’s kind of safe but I don’t recommend overdoing this.
It’s true that I have done this in 2014 but believe me, this still works today. Although, I’m not using this sneaky hack anymore. I have upgraded to a high-speed network for better speeds.
Here’s the thing:
You might think how is that possible? Well, it’s very simple to understand. Mac Spoofing allows you to change the Physical Address of your router or computer through which you access the network.
Even if you didn’t pay the bill, you can use someone else’s Mac address and still access the internet but there are certain issues which we will discuss later.
The procedure is very simple. You need to find someone else’s Mac address using the same network (works best for local ISPs). Then you will change your Mac address to theirs and you will be able to access the internet.
This will also bypass your ISP’s login page if they require an username and password. But this isn’t going to work for PPPoE connections just like mine.
Bonus Tip:
Here’s a little bonus tip for you.
If you purchased a lower speed plan and you changed your Mac address to a client who is paying for more speeds, you will receive his speeds.
Now, you gotta experiment and try out different addresses and see which works best for you.
How to Find Other’s Mac Address?
The first steps are to find the best possible client. By ‘client‘ I mean a system which is connected to a network.
It’s crucial that you use a direct connection through ethernet and don’t use your router. Unplug the ethernet cable from your router’s hub and plug it into your laptop’s or computer’s ethernet port.
Once you have done that, you’re ready to search for a list of the connected clients. You will be able to see their IP address as well their Physical address (that’s we’re looking for).
You need some sort of software to get the entire list. I prefer using Netcut which I have personally used. You may also use Wireshark if you want. But I think you will love me for choosing Netcut which is super easy to use.
How to Use Netcut to Find Mac Address:
The reason I recommend Netcut over Wireshark is the fact that is it too simple to use. The first thing you need to do is download Netcut and install. Remember that this works on only Windows-based systems only.
Once you downloaded the setup file which is only 3 megabytes you will need to install the software. It’s very simple and all you need to do is keep clicking “next”.
After you have installed Netcut, all you need to do is run the program. Then, just follow the later steps to find the Mac address of all the connected clients on your network.
Remember to choose your adapter which would be your ethernet adapter from the list so Netcut can find the clients on that particular network. Now, that’s how simple it really is to find someone else’s physical address.
How to Change Your Mac Address? (Mac Spoofing)
The next steps are simple, very simple!
You could change your Mac address by clicking a button in Netcut. But I will tell all the ways you could do this.
But if you’re using a router mainly which most people do, you can read it below.
Changing your Mac address automatically using Netcut:
Once Netcut has scanned your network for the connected clients, you will find a large list. All you need to do is, choose any client you want and click on the button “Change Mac“.
This is going to bring up a window showing your current physical address and the new address that will be set. The only thing you need to do is click on “Change Mac”.
After doing that, your network adapter will once reset itself. But it’s recommended you manually restart your adapter by disabling it and then enabling it again.
If you want to change manually, follow this:
The first time you need to do is choose and copy down one of the Mac addresses you found in Netcut. I’m using Windows 10 but it’s same for all Windows versions.
Now, follow these nerdy steps if you really want to do this as Netcut makes the whole process of Mac Spoofing as simple as ABC.
- Open Network and Sharing Center.
- Go to Change Adapter Options.
- Right-click on your ethernet port’s adapter.
- Click on Properties.
- Click on Configure.
- Move to the Advanced tab.
- Now, look for “Local Address” or “Locally Administrated Address“.
- The default value would be “Not Present“.
- Check the upper circle, and paste the Mac address you found.
The property name such as “Locally Administered Address” varies with different motherboard manufacturers. So, I can’t really say what’s the property for your motherboard.
However, it’s similar and should mention the word ‘address‘ and you should be fine. Now that you have change your Mac address, you will be able to access the internet even if you don’t pay your pills.
That’s because someone else is paying for themselves and also paying for you. You just trick the system into thinking that the same person is using the network.
Changing Your Router’s Mac Address
Now, the two methods I said was for your computer. But there’s no doubt that most people use a router.
It’s very simple and easy to change your router’s physical address and this varies with different router manufacturers. But I’m using my old TP-Link router.
Follow the steps:
Go to Your Router’s Login Page
The login address is usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 and for me, it’s the first one.
Then login to your router using it’s username and password which are usually both admin.
Under Network, there’s an option called “MAC Clone“. Just click on it and into the “WAN MAC Address“, type the client’s address you stole from Netcut.
Then, you click on “Save” and this will restart your router. The connection might not work on the first try. All you need to do is manually restart your router once.
Remember, if one Mac address didn’t work, try another and see which gives the fastest speeds and most stability.
Conclusion
This is the perfect and simple guide to get free internet using Mac Spoofing. Let’s be honest, I have used this technique and it’s really not a legal thing to follow.
However, if you’re trying to get into the so-called “hacker vibe”, you can try this out yourself. Also a bonus tip for you!
Here’s a little example. Say you pay for a speed up to 10 Mbps. The client you chose, pays for up to 50 Mbps. Boy, you’re damn lucky. You’re gonna get his speeds.
However, I want to mention a problem you’re definitely gonna face. You will see sudden connection drops.
This will happen due to network conflicts as two systems try to access the network through the same physical address.
